Transatlantic Cruises (roundtrip) from the east coast???

Posted on March 8th, 2010 by admin in Galveston Cruise ships

found starting in Galveston, Tx a 13 Night TRANSATLANTIC Cruise Royal Caribbean International, Voyager Of The Seas to Barcelona, Spain. But why I can’t find round trip? I don’t want to fly back home. Does anyone know where I can find roundtrip transatlantic cruises?
I’m willing to pay for it. I just want to find where i can do that.

Transatlantic cruises are repositioning cruises. So Voyager is leaving Texas to start its new itinerary for Spain/Europe, but the cruise line offers this a cruise to continue earning revenue. Transatlantic cruises are never round trip. Hope this helps!

Here is the info from the Royal Caribbean website:

Q: Do all cruises depart and arrive at the same port?

A: While most cruises are roundtrip, some begin the cruise at one port and complete it in a different one (sometimes called "open jaw" or "one way" itineraries). Many cruisers enjoy this type of itinerary because it offers an extra port to explore before or after the cruise.

Our Repositioning and Transatlantic itineraries are just two examples of these "one way" cruises. Be sure to check the cruise itinerary when reserving your vacation or airline tickets to see if your cruise is roundtrip or one way.

Should I navigate the Houston airport alone?

Posted on March 8th, 2010 by admin in IAH Bush Airport Houston

Ok, so I’m 14 years old. I’ve flown several times before, all on Continental Airlines. I was wondering if I would be okay finding my way through Houston Bush Intl. (IAH) alone.I have been to that airport about 15 times, so I kinda have an idea of how it’s laid out. Do you think I’ll be okay? I have a 2 hr layover.

I’ve bounced around airports as a minor and IAH is great – as long as you know which gate you need to be at, it is very easy to get around IAH. With a two hour layover, you will have to move fairly quickly, however, because Houston rarely has delays (no snow and almost never freezes). You will be okay though, especially since the security and staff at Houston is so friendly and helpful.

Good luck!

My fiance and I need a restaurant for our wedding party in Galveston! Help!?

Posted on March 8th, 2010 by admin in Galveston restaurants

Our wedding is semi-formal but small on July 29 (a Thursday). After the wedding we are taking our immediate family out to dinner…but we need a nice restaurant, preferably one with a private dining area. We’re going to have the reception when we return home to Illinois

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
