Yes it did have damage , I saw damage to it on fox news I think parti of one exterior wall was ripped out. One would assume much more damage inside.
I am going on the Carnival Ecstasy in a week. I cruised on the Carnival Conquest last year. I know that the Ecstasy is a lot smaller then the Conquest and I am worried that it won’t be as much fun. The Conquest holds about 1,000 more people then the Ecstasy. I am 17 and there were soooo many teens on my last cruise to dance with and hang out with so it was a ton of fun. I am wondering if this cruise is still going to have a lot of teens on it or barely any teens my age since the ship is a lot smaller. I think I have such high expectations from my cruise on the Conquest that I think I will be upset with this cruise. I just want there to be a lot of teens to hang out with but I have a feeling there will be barely any. Do you think there will still be a lot of teens my age?? And do you think I will have as much fun as I did on my last cruise??
Well, since it is in the summer I bet that there will be tons of teens, I mean, there are 1,000 fewer people but the ship is likely almost fully booked because it is a popular month. I’m sure you will have a good time, but the other posters are right, it is due for a remodel!!
in international waters
No. The international waters does not matter, since the Casino will be only open, when in international waters (or at least out of the 3 mile zone)
You will have to be 18 to get into the casino.
Here is what the Carnival website says about this:
Casino:
Guest must be 18 years of age or older to play the tables and the slot machines.
Guests under 18 years of age are not permitted in the casino.
adminhi. we are going for cruise onboard Voyager of the seas. can you tell at least approximate price for cleaning 2 sport costums (2 pants & 2 t-shirts) onboard the cruis? (may be another ship…)
If you are going on the Voyager of the Seas or any Royal Caribbean ship they have laundry service but NOT self service laundromats. I am not positive of exactly what you want a price for but never-the-less this web link will take you to a complete price listing for laundry service on all Royal Caribbean ships: http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/LaundryPriceList.pdf

POP CD – Having achieved a loyal and growing following in Finland and throughout Europe, this Finnish group is more than capable of presenting dark and moody yet very finely tuned rock songs. Starting with “In the Shadows,” lead singer Lauri Ylnen sounds a bit like Darren Hayes from Savage Garden, if moderately influenced by Nine Inch Nails. The tone of the song is lightweight and resembles an edgier or meaner Ace of Base, but thankfully The Rasmus have ample chops to make them credible. “They say that I must learn to kill before I can feel safe,” he sings while a bouncy backbeat continues the flow. Seamlessly moving into “Guilty,” the glossy singalong chorus and slick rock riffs give way to more of a murky Faith No More feeling in its verses. The vocals are also layered atop each other, creating a vocoder-like sound halfway through. An early problem is how often the band leaves the songs to hang on too long with the chorus refrain going too far. An alternative pop tune is the melodic and textured “First Day of My Life,” a track that nails a thick slab of anthem rock. Fans of The Gathering might find comfort in much of this album, but the edge is often dulled by solid but safe arrangement, especially during the formulaic “Still Standing.” “In My Life” has a mixture of various styles and steps outside the box, morphing from an urgent, darker blueprint to a punk-riddled Bryan Adams within a matter of moments. A gothic “Time to Burn” is perhaps the album’s true gem, a song with more than enough accents and hooks to keep the listener enthused. The song also marks a departure from the earlier songs, as the lengthy “Not Like the Other Girls” moves more into their niche, a ballad that brings Def Leppard instantly to mind. Another strong effort is the punchy “Back in the Picture,” but “Funeral Song” is quite forgettable. Nonetheless, the radio-friendly “F-F-F-Falling” is a good send-off. adminShe started my love of tall ships… with the next tropical storm/possible hurricane headed towardsGalveston, where does she go?
Hey Brigantine =)
Are you a Jersey girl? I don’t think Elissa went anywhere for this current tropical storm, "Edouard." However, she is kept in tip/top shape as she is the pride of Galveston island and still sails quite nicely. If it appears that an approaching storm could cause substantial damage, I’m sure she would sail to any other port on the east Texas coast to wait it out until she can sail home – maybe Corpus Christi.

$100. to $200.00 full hour, if you are going on a cruise to Thai Land, don’t get a message on the cruise ship, because a Thai message is only $20.00 us/ their.
I have been on the Carnival Conquest and am going on Voyager of the Seas in December. I was wondering how Royal Caribbean compares in terms of food, activities, amenities, decor, service, staterooms, public rooms, stuff like that. (Sorry I’m asking for a lot!) Thank You!
Over all, I would say RC is better. I thought the dining room food on Carnival was much better, but the buffet (on Carnival) was disgusting. On RC, the dining room food and the buffet food were about the same. Good for a buffet, but disappointing for the dining room.
They both had lots of activities, depending on what you like, but RC has more stuff (rock climbing wall, putt putt, ice skating, etc), Depending on the ship.
The decor on RC was MUCH better, but I was on Carnival’s oldest ship, so…
I thought the service were equal.
The staterooms were about equal, but I thought the shower was smaller on RC.
The public room were much nicer on RC.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised on an RC cruise!
