okay, we are first timers and w are looking for points of interests at all stops. Also curious as to what the weather will be like in february? What are we looking at paying for port charges/taxes and what not. We are cruise virgins and really looking for the best experience we can get from this deal. In Coz we are looking at either the mayan ruins tour or doing the Race Fantastique, which is a local amazing race kinda thing. Other than that we have a list of the excursions and are wide open, but the $$$ and $$$$ are pretty much out of the question.
Grand Cayman….
Dive or snorkel with the stingrays in Grand Cayman – absolute must.
Rum Point is really pretty.
Turtle Farm – so-so, Botanical Gardens – so-so
Don’t take a "tour" to Seven Mile Beach in Cayman – what a rip-off, you can walk, take the bus or get yourself a taxi outside of the cruiseship area. And don’t go to the "Cruiseship Beach" you can sit anywhere on the beach where it is less crowded, even "Public Beach" is less crowded.
I’m comparing Voyager of the Seas from Royal Caribbean and the New made Carnival Freedom
It all depends on your interests and what you would like to do. Unfortunately some people have a problem with Carnival and think it is a haven for young people who want to drink and party all the time. This isn’t the case (the whole partying thing that was done on the news was on Royal Caribbean not Carnival).
I can only speak for Carnival because this is the only company I cruise with. They have something for everyone, you don’t have to get dressed up and go the dining room as you can eat the good food on the lido deck.
I suggest going to www.cruisecritic.com or www.cruisemates.com and read some reviews from the site and the users on it, but still take a look at the ships from the respective company website and see if there is something that stands out versus the other.
adminI’m 17, she’s 18 and I’m bored of Sugar Land. Please don’t recommend stuff like moody gardens or a museum. Something FUN, whether it be at day or night. Thank you ![]()
Walk around Montrose and check out the cute shops then stop at La Fendee (on the terrace if the weather is nice) for a Lebonese meal & hookah.
Go to a concert (pick up a Houston Press for upcoming ones). http://www.houstonpress.com/

Take off of a Continental Airlines Boeing 737-800 from runway 7 of the Juan Santamaria international airport, San Jose (Alajuela), Costa Rica (SJO).
The pilot performed an outstanding visual north departure with left turn, very uncommon to see jetliners doing that in “El Coco”.
Flight CO1490 to the George Bush Intercontinental airport of Houston, TX (IAH). Video shot from seat 4F (Business Class).
NOTE: This is the first and only video capturing this maneuver from inside known so far.
