July on Galveston Island
This July Galveston will host an extravaganza of events. Moody Gardens Palm Beach will host Bands on the Sand every Friday through summer. Also, there will be a 4th of July parade and celebration at the Railroad Museum. Moody Gardens will be hosting American Idol winner Kris Allen July 3rd. The City of Galveston will have its annual 4th of July fireworks over the Gulf. Fresh Seafood is being served at a variety of restaurants to the thousands of people that visit the Island daily. Artist Boat to Paddle will help you explore the ins-and-outs of Galveston Bay. Movie night and Music night on the Strand will help you plan a few free things to do with the whole family. Ferry rides daily for dolphin watching. Artwalk will be held July 10th.

Galveston Island Wrestling is back, and already better than before. This promo federation based out of the island city of Galveston, Texas is on the path to success and we want your characters to be a part of it.
The group of people who founded Galveston Island Wrestling are well established fed-heads, and know how to make a fed successful. We can impress the veteran roleplayer, as well as help advance those who are new to the art. Wherever the GIW gang goes, a vibrant out of character community follows it. This fed is made for people who enjoy roleplaying and love hanging out with cool people at the same time.
Currently, GIW is a small promotion, but hopefully if we get enough members will will grow to be a powerhouse in the fedding world! This also shows in our results, you can watch GIW selling out small arenas in Galveston until we work our way up to selling out arenas like Madison Square Garden in New York City!
Currently, Galveston Island Wrestling has one weekly show, which is entitled Thursday Night Revolt, where the results will be posted promptly at 9:00 central time. The results will be written as if you would read them on a wrestling news website, as a summary. Once we get large enough, onward to another brand!

GBF’s Marsh Mania is the nationally-recognized, signature community-based wetlands restoration and education event of the Galveston Bay area. The goal of Marsh Mania is to involve local citizens in hands-on wetlands restoration activities while increasing their awareness and appreciation of wetland habitats and functions. In 12 years, Marsh Mania has involved more than 5,878 community volunteers in the restoration of roughly 172 acres of vital salt marsh habitat at 61 sites around Galveston Bay.
