    I was also on the cruise. The ship listed about 30 degrees. There was some chaos but within 25 minutes you could not tell anything happened. The crew was fantastic and organized. The bouy story is crap though. The ship did a 90 degree turn to avoid the Island (sand bar) The bouy was there to warn ships. Someone in the bridge messed up bad.

    I was on this cruise also. At the time of the buoy encounter, I was eating lunch by the pool. We commented on the list of the ship being more than usual, then the pool water started pouring toward us. No warning to brace ourselves from the crew, everything was completely unexpected. Tables came unbolted from the deck as the water swept us into them. I was lucky to have only injured a toe. It doesn’t really add up~ ships go over buoys all the time.

    that was my first and last cruise i was on the belcony above pool while watching the water come out of the pool and the lounge chairs and ppl sliding in with the water it was a very scary situation at the time then chairs and tables were hitting ppl while they sat eating after a few minutes the boat started to go back and the water also had to go back lots of dishes and damage never been so scared and they wouldnt even replace drinks that were lost during the destruction very stressed

    thats me and my wife and kids on the balcony at 1:23 sec. in the video .we were in the giftshop then all the sudden displays started to fall over glass was breaking and people were sliding accross the floor.people were screaming and kids were crying. people were running to get their lifejackets. one lady in the giftshop had a display rack fall on her. lots of glass merchandise was broken and lots liquor bottles busted so much they had to remove the carpet out of the liquor store.

    I was on that cruise. There was a buoy, but the buoy was there marking a sand bar that we almost ran aground on!! The land mass was on the radar. You can see the radar, direction and course of the ship on one of the channels in each cabins TV. The ship made a NINETY DEGREE TURN!! You dont do that to avoid a buoy! I was also told by a crew member that someone on the bridge was getting fired over the mistake. The cruise line is covering its butt!!
