Extreme video of the 15 foot storm surge from Hurricane Ike on Galveston Island, TX. Ike made landfall as a strong category 2/weak category 3 hurricane at 2:20 am CDT at Galveston Island. The TornadoVideos.net storm chasers documented the entire hurricane from the sea wall on the east side of Galveston Island. This is part 2 of a 3 part video series.

    I lived in Cleveland at the time Ike came through. The eye was directly over our house. I can not even describe the eerie feeling of it.

    live in league city …
    live in league city. no electricity for a week but we had it alot better than others:)
    only our fence and a cupple of limbs on our tree were damaged.

    We were damaged as well. I live in Houston but if you think we recived minor damage think again. At least 2 brick walls were destroyed, Several trees, and wouldn’t you know it. This Febuary a tree dented the fence. And we were left without power for a week.
