Extreme video of the 15 foot storm surge from Hurricane Ike on Galveston Island, TX. Ike made landfall as a strong category 2/weak category 3 hurricane at 2:20 am CDT at Galveston Island. The TornadoVideos.net storm chasers documented the entire hurricane from the sea wall on the east side of Galveston Island. This is part 2 of a 3 part video series.

    I went through Hurricane Hugo in Puerto Rico…in 1989.. it was scary i nwas only 8 or 9 yrs old… I’m From the the bronx, NY thinking of moving to Gavestine.. will i be the only P.R in the island??? LOL

    Omg i remember that.. Like a Few mouths ago. I was in Ohio when it struck and when hannah struck at the same time o.O I was outside when it sundenly got dark and Scary and Wind blowing everywhere. I stayed outside until it was over o-O

    I am a storm chaser …
    I am a storm chaser….and i would not recommend doing what these guys did unless you really know what your doing and your willing to put your life on the line for science…….this is extremly dangerous work and we do lose people to these storms every year.

    That’s really interesting that you say that because that’s what I’ve been hearing from a lot of people. Our family had a house in Crystal Beach. but the media here isn’t talking at all about the deaths. A guy in Galveston said there were bodies along the beach… very very sad

    I miss galveston …
    I miss galveston and crystal beach…the spot where my families beach house used to be is now in the ocean. Once you go down there and see the devastation in person, ur heart sinks, crystal beach a once largely populated and fun town is now wiped down completely…damn you ike
