Outstanding COA 738 Take-off SJO (HD)

Take off of a Continental Airlines Boeing 737-800 from runway 7 of the Juan Santamaria international airport, San Jose (Alajuela), Costa Rica (SJO).
The pilot performed an outstanding visual north departure with left turn, very uncommon to see jetliners doing that in “El Coco”.
Flight CO1490 to the George Bush Intercontinental airport of Houston, TX (IAH). Video shot from seat 4F (Business Class).
NOTE: This is the first and only video capturing this maneuver from inside known so far.

Southwest Jet Lands Safely After Tire Catches Fire

A Southwest Airlines jet landed safely at Hobby Airport in Houston after one of it’s tires caught fire, CBS News reported Tuesday. Flight 519 from New Orleans to Houston blew out a tire upon landing, a Southwest Airlines spokesperson said. The pilot declared an emergency, and fire trucks met the plane and managed to extinguish the fire. Passengers could be seen evacuating the jet on emergency slides. No one was reported injured.
