Sept 2 — 5, 2011 | BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival | Galveston

From barley to brewing everything you wanted to know about beer making was available at the BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival in Galveston. In its second year, the festival brought hundreds of beer makers together under one roof.

Brewtopia, a family friendly outdoor beer garden hosted live music, concessions stands and a fun filled play area for kids. Free to the public this venue, under a huge tent, was open the entire weekend. Indoors smaller venues, were scheduled throughout the weekend including Brewlicious, a showcase tasting and the Texas Brewery Tasting Tour. Featured during the festival was The Brewhaha Grand Tastings & Keg Korner; bringing together 400 craft and specialty beers, this granddaddy of an event also offered festivalgoers seminars and wine tastings.

Listen in to Talk of the Bay as we visit with event director Clifton McDerby, Jason Lyon, a beer maker, from Rahr & Sons Brewery and Craig Pijanowski from Boulevard Brewing Co.
